New National Crush? AVM Aurangzeb Is the Latest Internet Sensation

Islamabad (TDI): In a rare moment where national security intersects with social media stardom, Pakistan Air Force’s Director General Public Relations, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, has emerged as an unlikely internet sensation.

This moment follows the joint press conference by the Chiefs of Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The press briefing, which addressed regional security, counterterrorism efforts, inter-service coordination, and briefed the media and the public about Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan un Marsoos against India, drew wide attention for its strategic significance.

However, it was Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed’s composed demeanor, articulate communication, and charismatic presence that stole the spotlight—both in the room and across digital platforms.

Within minutes of the conference’s conclusion, Pakistani users on X (formerly Twitter) began flooding timelines with memes, appreciation posts, and enthusiastic remarks, celebrating Aurangzeb’s personality, with a blend of humor and admiration.

From side-by-side edits with film stars to humorous captions dubbing him Pakistan’s newest crush, the internet was quick to elevate the DGPR to pop culture status.

Even Pakistani Politician Dr. Shehbaz Gill could not control himself and jumped into the trend bandwagon.

Despite the social media frenzy, the Pakistan Air Force remained focused on the core message of the press conference: unity, professionalism, and readiness. Yet, the attention on AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed adds a human dimension to the defense establishment—showcasing the faces behind the forces that safeguard the nation.

In Gen Z language, a person with drip (or dripping) has a cool, stylish, or fashionable look or style or known as Fashionista. The term often refers to the overall look and clothing of a person.

One user humorously commented, “Chill girls, not every handsome guy is your future husband. Aurangzeb uncle got y’all acting crazy.” capturing the playful chaos and over-the-top reactions that followed.

Another user chimed in with equal wit, saying, Aurangzeb’s keyboard doesn’t have a CTRL—Aurangzeb is always in control, cleverly playing on tech language to highlight his commanding presence.

From simp and main character to drip, rizz, pookie, and aura, people are throwing every possible Gen Z term his way to express their collective crush—it’s a full-on digital swoon fest.

A graduate of PAF Academy Risalpur and an accomplished officer with decades of service in various strategic and communication roles, AVM Ahmed has long been respected within military circles.
His recent appearance has now broadened that respect to a nationwide audience, especially among the youth who are sharing his clips under hashtags like #Aurangzeb and #NationalCrush
