Australian prime Minister calls Singaporean counterpart

Canberra, 16 September 2021 (TDI): Singaporean Prime Minister, Lee Hsein Loong was called by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison telephonically to discuss AUKUS which is a trilateral partnership between Australia, UK, and the US. Both Prime Ministers exchanged views on how they are cooperatively tackling the covid-19 issues and that AUKUS will also contribute to bringing peace and stability in the region.

Australia has been an important strategic partner for Singapore and has been devotedly investing in various projects in the region. Both of the prime ministers celebrated the multilateral and bilateral partnership between the two states and wished for more diplomatic integration.
