Dubai, 15 November 2021 (TDI): Australia beat New Zealand in the T20 World cup final by 8 wickets on Sunday, in Dubai. This is the first T20 World Cup won by Australia in International Cricket.
Australia who was only beaten once in the world cup settled the score with 8 wickets in hand. New Zealand while batting first scored 174 with the loss of 4 wickets. Australia chased the target in 18.5 overs.
Australian all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh scored an unbeatable 77 on 50 deliveries. Mitchell remained not-out and earned the World Cup for Australia. Mitchell Marsh became the man of the match. Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Earlier on Thursday, last week, Australia knocked out Pakistan in a close contest. Pakistan while batting first, scored 176 on the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Australia chased the target in 19 overs with 5 wickets left behind.
Australian wicket-keeper, Mathew Wade scored a quick 41 on 17 balls. Consequently, Australia qualified for the final faceoff with New Zealand. Australia beat unbeaten Pakistan in Semi-Final.
