Canberra, 4 November 2021 (TDI): Australia engaged Sweden over Indo Pacific as its Foreign Minister Spoke with her Counterpart through a telephonic contact on Thursday.
In a tweet, Australia’s Foreign Minister and Minister of Women, Marise Payne announced her conversation with Foreign Minister of Sweden, Ann Linde.

In the discussion, both the counterparts committed to upholding human rights and addressing global challenges.
Marise Payne engaged Ann Linde over Australian policies over Indo-Pacific and informed her about the importance of cooperation in the region.
The two counterparts also discussed the covid 19 recovery process in the two countries. While Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Ann Linde noted that the EU’s engagement with Indo-Pacific is important.

In a tweet, she stated that the two talked about the importance of long-term and broader cooperation to protect International Law and Human Rights.
Earlier, Australia also engaged other European countries including Austria and UK. Last week Australian Foreign Minister also announced the re-opening of the embassy in Switzerland.
