AUPSC Convened Meeting to Overview Situations in Guinea

Addis Ababa, 7 September 2021 (TDI): The African Union Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) had called on the Member States to consider and review the current situation in the Republic of Guinea. The AUPSC takes note of the statement made by Ambassador Mahamad A. Hassan, President of the PSC, and other statements by Bankole Adeoye, African Union Political Affairs Peace and Security, Gaoussou Toure, Guinea’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, and the African Union Permanent Representative.
Chadian Ambassador and the PSC President of the month Mahamad Ali Hassan asked the AUPSC member states for the support and solidarity of their neighborhood. The ambassador said that the members must call on the Council to ensure a peaceful transition and restore order in the Republic of Guinea and allow the country to develop economically and socially.
