Islamabad (TDI): Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that if talks are held between Pakistan and India, three major issues would be on the agenda.
Speaking to a private news channel, he said the dialogue would focus on Kashmir, terrorism and water-related issues.
He said that terrorism has been ongoing for the past twenty to thirty years.
The minister said that this is a golden opportunity for both Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir issue.
He added that there are three major points: Kashmir, terrorism, and water. These are longstanding problems over the past 76 years and must be solved. Pakistan is the biggest victim of terrorism.
This is a golden chance for both Pakistan and India to resolve the issue of terrorism, Asif said.
On Kashmir, he stated that Trump has raised this problem, which marks another breakthrough. Kashmir must also be included in Pakistan-India talks.

Khawaja Asif stressed that almost all wars between Pakistan and India have been fought over Kashmir.
“The reason of the conflict of two days ago was also the Kashmir. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to push South Asia into a living hell, but by the grace of Allah Almighty we were saved. Our armed forces stood like an iron wall. These problems must now be settled,” he said.
The defense minister termed it a cruel irony that Pakistan which has suffered the most from terrorism is being accused of attacked for it.

On the water dispute, Asif stated that the problem had already been solved under the Indus Waters Treaty, which cannot be unilaterally suspended.
