Islamabad, 12 August 2024 (TDI): The entire country praised for incredible performance of Arshad Nadeem at the Paris Olympics, where he not only broke records but also won Pakistan’s first gold medal in thirty-two years.
The Pakistan Army, the president, the prime minister, and political parties all left heartfelt tributes. The resolution voted by the National Assembly with unanimous consent decided that a civil award would be given to honor Olympian Arshad Nadeem.
Congratulations to Arshad Nadeem on his Olympic gold medal, said Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. The pride of the entire country, he claimed, was now Nadeem. He has brought recognition to Pakistan and we can all feel proud of him for winning a medal for the nation.
In addition to taking home the gold medal, Arshad Nadeem broke a global record during the Olympics, according to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Sharif continued, “The entire Pakistani nation received a beautiful gift from Arshad Nadeem.”
By shattering records, Arshad Nadeem has achieved immortality in both Pakistani and Olympic history. Arshad Nadeem is a national hero. Young athletes look up to him because of his exceptional achievement, unwavering work ethic, and dedication.
The resolution commemorating the world record holder was unanimously adopted by the National Assembly on Friday. The motion was introduced by Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister of Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, who praised the day for being auspicious for the country.

Paying homage to the gold-medalist athlete, Tarar stated that Arshad Nadeem had thrown the longest javelin throw in Olympic history, setting a world record. “The House should enact a resolution honoring Arshad Nadeem, according to demands made by all legislative leaders,” according to him.
The resolution stated: “This House expresses its congratulations to Arshad Nadeem, a son of the soil, for raising Pakistan’s flag at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and winning a gold medal for the country after four decades.”
The House highlighted that Arshad Nadeem, a boy from a lowly family, shown by his unwavering perseverance, unbreakable will, and unwavering determination that adversity cannot derail or obstruct the nation’s daughters and sons from achieving greatness.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the chiefs of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, and the other service chiefs congratulated the country on this momentous occasion. They claimed that by taking home the first individual gold medal from the World Olympics, Nadeem had cemented his place in Pakistani history.
Furthermore, national hero who took home the gold in the javelin throw championship was praised by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He remarked that when Nadeem won Pakistan’s first-ever gold medal in an individual Olympic event, the country was proud. “The country supports its hero, Arshad Nadeem, who made history in the globe of the Olympics.”
In honoring Olympian Gold Medalist Nadeem, National Assembly Leader of the Opposition Umar Ayub stated that the sportsman had, forty years later, made the country proud. When he returns to Pakistan, he should be greeted with greatness.
Leader of the MQM, Mustafa Kamal, stated that Arshad Nadeem is our pride and prayed to Allah to give him many chances to represent Pakistan with medals. We are also concerned at this time. Every province in Pakistan has global champions if the country’s corrupt elements invest even two percent of their talent in them.
At the Senate meeting, applause for the prominent Pakistani athlete resounded. A motion to honor the national hero in the House was passed by the deputy chairman, who also announced an award for Arshad Nadeem.
Prior to speaking, the PTI senator declared the quorum. Speaking on behalf of Ahsan, he praised Arshad for making the nation proud and congratulated them on winning the gold medal at the Olympics.

Rewards For Arshad Nadeem

Additionally, musician Ali Zafar and cricketer Ahmed Shahzad each received a Rs. 1 million announcement from Sindh Governor Tessori. In addition, the World Athletics Federation will award a US$50,000 victory prize to Nadeem, and Karachi Electric (KE) has decided to provide Rs2 million to him.
