Buenos Aires, 18 September 2021 (TDI): Argentina will purchase 12 PAC JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jets from Pakistan. A draft budget, for the fiscal year 2022, presented to the National Assembly of Argentina. US$664 million has been allocated for acquisition of JF-17 aircraft from Pakistan. These 12 JF-17 Thunder fighter jets are 10 single-seater and 2 dual-seater Block IIIs.
Pakistan and Argentina have cordial relations. The purchase of JF-17 fighter jets will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
JF-17 combat aircrafts are manufactured jointly by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and Chengdu Air Corporation China. In July 2021, Nigeria also bought three JF-17 Thunder aircraft from Pakistan. These are major milestones for the indigenous aircraft industry of Pakistan.
