Antalya (TDI): The Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 has started today in Antalya, Türkiye and will continue till April 13th. This is the 4th edition of the Forum whose theme is “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World.”
The Forum has become the flagship event of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye. This year’s theme has been picked in the backdrop where Russia-Ukraine war and Israel’s imposed war on Gaza have divided the world and globalization struggles to bring countries together.
“Growing geopolitical rifts, deepening global inequalities, surge in violence targeting civilians, intolerance towards divergent views, uncertainties driven by technological disruptions and multidimensional impact of climate crisis have all shaken common sense of justice and eroded trust in international institutions.”

Who Said What?
During the panel discussion Nuclear Escalation: A Re-emerging Threat? Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) delivered important remarks:
“I would suggest to young people: visit Hiroshima, and then ask yourself whether all weapons are truly the same. When you’re confronted with the magnitude of the impact from a small nuclear device—only 15 kilotons—and you witness the indiscriminate devastation, you realize that, at the hands of humanity, more people died in the immediate aftermath or soon after than in any other event caused by human actions in our history.”
