Lilongwe, 9 August 2022 (TDI): The Annual African Bar Association Conference 2022 was opened by the President of Malawi on Monday. The annual conference will last till 15 August, at the Bingu International Conference Center, Lilongwe.

The conference is expecting a gathering of over 1500 participants from Africa and across the globe.
The President of the African Bar Association has constituted a High Powered Conference Planning Committee for this conference.
The organization of the conference is under the theme of “Instituting an Enduring Legacy of Transparent and Accountable Governance in Africa: Basic Issues and Roadmap”.
Agenda of the Conference
In this Annual Conference, Africa’s top-notch lawyers are going to discuss the need for transparency & accountability within the governance structures.
The conference provides an amazing opportunity for lawyers, judges, politicians, and the business community to come together on a single platform.
Throughout this conference, these officials will propose solutions to the challenges confronting Africa. These challenges exist especially in the areas of good transparent governance, security, and the rule of law.
At the opening of the Conference, the President of the Malawi Law Society Patrick Mpaka said “ I am extremely delighted that this year’s conference is being hosted by us and thank the Government of Malawi for the support given to us and the AFBA.
