Amman (TDI): The second round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) between Pakistan and Jordan was held today in Amman, aiming to solidify the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, while the Jordanian side was headed by Ambassador Majed T. ALQATARNEH, Secretary General for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan.

During the consultations, both sides held comprehensive discussions on a wide array of bilateral, regional, and international matters. The dialogue further aimed at enhancing cooperation in all spheres and continuing their close coordination on global and regional issues of common interest.

Expressing Pakistan’s grave concern, the Foreign Secretary highlighted the latest wave of Israeli atrocities and the resumption of its illegal military aggression against the Palestinian people.

She underscored Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, reaffirming the country’s firm stance on the establishment of an independent, viable, and sovereign State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
