Ankara, 26 April 2024 (TDI): Today, I (Tapas Adhikari) presented the Letters of Credence to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of Türkiye, amidst a special ceremony held at the President Palace in Ankara.
During the program, I conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the Right Honorable President Ram Chandra Poudel, and the Right Honorable Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as well as from the people of Nepal for the personal health and happiness of the President of the Republic of Türkiye and the continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Türkiye.
His Excellency the President of the Republic of Türkiye welcomed and congratulated me as Ambassador of Nepal to Türkiye. The President asked me to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Right Honorable President of Nepal, the Right Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, and the people of Nepal for their continued progress and prosperity.
I also shared the statutes of the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Türkiye which are based on mutual trust and cooperation, and have always been friendly.
I further shared that Nepal and Türkiye were working together in the United Nations and other important international forums on various issues of common interests.
I am also assured that I will make sincere efforts to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

Senior government officials of the President’s office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye were also present during the ceremony.
Upon arrival at the Palace, the national anthem of Nepal and Turkey were played, and a guard of honor was presented.
The Embassy of Nepal in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Islamabad is concurrently accredited to the Republic of Türkiye.
