Islamabad, 12 June 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi, hosted a ceremony in honor of five students from UAE who graduated from the National University of Modern Languages, Pakistan (NUML).

In his address to the students, the UAE Ambassador expressed his pride in the students.
He stressed that they have duties and responsibilities to serve their country so that the aspirations of wise leadership can be fulfilled.
Pakistan- UAE relation
The United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have distinguished bilateral relations. They are distinct, stable, and firm relations based on common foundations of history, religion, and culture
In 1972 Pakistan was the first country in the world to formally recognize the UAE’s sovereign state. Predominantly both countries shared the same Islamic faith.
UAE continues to be a major donor of economic and financial assistance to Pakistan. UAE recognizes Pakistan’s contribution to the evolution of key institutions in the Emirates.
Pakistan also recognizes the UAE’s investment in Pakistan’s economy and infrastructure.
Throughout history, multiple exchanges of high-level visits and regular bilateral consultations between the two countries have occurred.
These bilateral relations continue to reflect the fact that Pakistan and UAE have laid strong foundations of mutually beneficial relations, friendship, and peaceful cooperation over the years.
The UAE has emerged as one of Pakistan’s major economic and trading partners. The number of Pakistani expatriates employed in the UAE is nearly 1.2. They have contributed significantly to promoting bilateral understanding and the economy of Pakistan through their home remittances.
Furthermore, In humanitarian avenues, the UAE Pakistan Assistance Program was launched in 2011. The program provided assistance to mitigate the devastation caused by floods during the monsoon season. Moreover, this program has been vital for Pakistan’s humanitarian assistance, especially in areas like Swat.
In addition, it also successfully provided for the construction of two bridges, 52 schools, seven hospitals and 64 water supply schemes.
