Ambassador of Pakistan bids farewell to Afghanistan

Kabul, 24 August 2022 (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan announced the completion of his tenure in Kabul.

Khan also met with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Mutaqqi.

In the official farewell meeting, Pakistan’s Ambassador also had an interaction with the Spokesperson of Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry, Abdul Qahar Balkhi.

In the meeting, the commitments for strengthening bilateral cooperation were focused on Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Khan’s farewell meetings continued with the officials of Afghanistan, leading politicians, and former officials of the previous republic.

Outgoing Pakistani Ambassador’s interactions were held with Hamid Karzai, Abdullah Abdullah, and Qalandar Ibad. 

Pakistan’s Ambassador assures Health Sector’s Cooperation

In Khan’s meeting with Afghanistan’s acting Minister for Public Health, Qalandar Ibad, a tribute was paid to the outgoing Pakistani diplomat. Khan assured diplomatic support for the bilateral cooperation with Afghanistan in their health sector.

Ambassador Khan met Abdullah, Hekmatyar, and Karzai

Outgoing Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan also conducted farewell meetings with important figures of the country.

Former Afghan Chief Executive and Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah hosted a farewell dinner for Pakistan’s Ambassador.

Areas of mutual interest were discussed between Khan and Abdullah. Khan posted on his official Twitter that he had continued interaction with Abdullah. Abdullah also thanked Khan for his service and wished him a farewell.

Former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai also met the outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan. The meeting focused on the enhancement of economic and people-to-people ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Furthermore, Ambassador Khan had his farewell courtesy call with the Leader of Hizb-e-Islami and former Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.

He stated that the meeting was an important and constructive interaction, and areas of mutual interest were discussed between the two.
