Ambassador of Pakistan arrived back to Kabul

18 August 2021 (TDI):  Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan moved back to Kabul after remaining here in Islamabad since July 19 after the alleged kidnapping of the Afghan Ambassador’s daughter.  He has traveled back to Kabul via the Torkham border.

After reaching back, he has met his Chinese counterpart Ambassador Wang Yu and discussed the current Afghan situation, and draw the need for close collaboration between Afghans, China, Pakistan, and the international community for a way forward based on inclusivity, respect for human rights, and rule of law.

Ambassador Mansoor has also announced that Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Pakistanis, Afghans, and other nationals for safe passage to Pakistan. He is personally supervising the entire operation of help with the strong support from the officers and embassy staff in such challenging times.

Earlier he was in Islamabad to receive the delegation of Afghan political leaders for a three-day visit for consultations on the way forward for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
