Islamabad, 8 July 2022 (TDI): Adam Tugio, the Ambassador of Indonesia to Pakistan, met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to continue strengthening relations with Indonesia, stressing that the two nations were eager to collaborate to further shared interests.

Ties between Pakistan and Indonesia:

The relationships are founded on history, religion, culture, and a shared interest at all international and regional levels. Pakistan and Indonesia stood by each other on every stage and continued to support each other for a shared future of peace, growth, prosperity, stability, development, and territorial integrity.

Relations between the two states trace back to the pre-independence subcontinent when leaders of the All India Muslim League extended their support to Indonesia during its comparable battle against Dutch Colonial control.

When one considers Pakistan and Indonesia’s magnificent historical backgrounds, one can readily assume the two fraternal Islamic countries’ degree of congeniality.
