Islamabad July 17, 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of France to Pakistan, Marc Baréty visited  Lahore Museum yesterday. He was surprised by the profuseness of the museum with the Islamic, Gandharan, and contemporary collections and thus dubbed his visit as ‘outstanding’.

The Ambassador also held discussions with the Director of the museum which he described as ‘friendly and fruitful’. In these discussions, the two shed light upon the prospects of a partnership between Lahore Museum and French Museums.

It is noteworthy to state that the Lahore Museum is Pakistan’s most visited and famous museum. It hosts collections from ancient Indo-Greek and Gandhara Kingdoms as well as from the Mughal Empire, Sikh Empire, and the British Empire in India. It is one of the major museums in South Asia.
