Beijing, 1 January 2024 (TDI): Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, the Pakistani Ambassador to Beijing, visited the under-construction Gwadar Development Authority, Pak-China Friendship Hospital (GDA-PCFH) in Gwadar on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
This visit marked a significant milestone under the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Superintending Engineer Shay Asif Ghani provided Ambassador Hashmi with a detailed briefing, offering insights into the advanced medical facilities and technology integrated into the hospital. Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority, Pansand Khan Buledi, also joined the event, witnessing the remarkable progress of this joint venture between Pakistan and China.
In his remarks, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi expressed profound gratitude for the collaborative effort, emphasizing that the GDA, Pak China Friendship Hospital, stands as a testament to the unparalleled friendship shared between Pakistan and China.
Moreover, He acknowledged the hospital as a generous gift from China to Pakistan, symbolizing the strength and depth of the diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Further highlighting the advanced features of the hospital, Ambassador Hashmi noted its state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern medical technology. The Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority, Pansand Khan Buledi, also expressed his appreciation for the progress achieved in the construction of the hospital and reiterated the importance of such collaborative initiatives in fostering bilateral relations.
However, GDA-PCFH project continues to take shape, the Pakistani Embassy looks forward to witnessing the positive impact it will have on healthcare accessibility and the overall well-being of the communities in Gwadar.
Furthermore, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi also explored the Gwadar fish market. He received a comprehensive overview of its vibrant fish trade, distinctive methodologies, and the development of the fish harbor.
