Islamabad (TDI): Moamer Abdalmotlab, the ambassador of Libya to Pakistan, was honored with the Global Ambassador Award in the 7th edition of the Diplomatic Insight Group’s (DIG) flagship initiative.
Ambassador Moamer began his professional journey as an academic and later served as a school principal, educational officer, and university professor in Libya.
He also participated in numerous international programs focused on leadership development, strategic management, institutional communication, and crisis negotiation, which became the experiences that shaped his vision both as an educator and a diplomat.

His distinguished career in public services includes his role as an advisor to the Supreme Council of State, followed by his appointment as an advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Libya, where he contributed to several technical committees.
He then served as an advisor to the President of the State, and Director of the Legal Department of the President’s Council before being appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Pakistan.
When Ambassador Abdalmotlab assumed his charge in Islamabad, he viewed his mission as a duty to renew the deep brotherly bond between Libya and Pakistan, and made it his priority to revive the warmth and spirit of partnership that have long defined the relations between the two countries.

He restored the visa services between Libya and Pakistan, and reopened the path for people-to-people contact and cultural exchange.
The new Embassy headquarters in Islamabad was also completed in his tenure. He has been a steadfast advocate for collaboration in international forums, standing alongside Pakistan on shared regional and global issues.
He appointed specialized technical attachés (Labor & Rehabilitation, Health, and Economy) to enable direct sectoral dialogue.
His efforts truly reflect the belief that real diplomacy is not only about managing relations, but about building bridges of understanding and shaping a shared vision for the future.
Established in December 2008, The Diplomatic Insight is Pakistan’s premier diplomacy and foreign affairs magazine, available in both digital and print formats.
