Islamabad, 2 August 2021 (TDI): Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong congratulated Pakistani weightlifter Talha Talib on his performance in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The ambassador tweeted his congratulatory message on Sunday and added “No weight too tough! Your journey to the Olympics, winning the hearts of your Chinese iron brothers!”
Talib finished fifth in the men’s 67 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. His lift of 151kg in the Snatch category was the second-best of the round. His overall tally of 320 kg was just 2 kg shy of the bronze medal.
