Yangling (TDI):Â Alongside his engagements at the 9th Silk Road International Expo, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, visited the Pakistani students who had participated in agricultural technology training at Northwest A&F University and Yangling Vocational and Technical College.
The Ambassador delivered a speech in the classroom of the Seed Production and Processing Technology and Livestock Disease Monitoring and Prevention Training Course, and had real-time communication with the students on site.
He said that he was very pleased to see young innovative minds from Pakistan working in the agricultural innovation hub of China – Yangling.

The training dubbed as Pakistan’s “1000 Talents Plan” for Agriculture will cultivate a group of compound talents who understand both agricultural technology and Chinese Pakistani culture, inject new impetus into China Pakistan cooperation, and open up new paths.
The Ambassador told the Pakistani students that they will return to Pakistan as “master trainers” carrying new and unique knowledge, that will eventually revolutionize agriculture tech in Pakistan.
Earlier, Ambassador Hashmi spoke at Pakistan Investment and Trade Roadshow, which Pakistan jointly organized with Shaanxi Foreign Affairs Office, to facilitate B2B meetings between Pakistani and Chinese companies.
He also inaugurated the Pakistan pavilion at the Expo and interacted with exhibitors. On his visit to Yangling, he was accompanied by Commercial Counselor Ghulam Qadir and Professor Zhang Lixin, Chairman of the Silkroad (Yangling) Biohealth Agriculture Industry Alliance.
The Silk Road Expo was organized in Xi’an from May 21-24, 2025.
