New York, 29 September 2021 (TDI): The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization, Amina J Mohammed tabled a talk with Ramtane Lamamra, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad-Algeria, to discuss Sustainable Development Goals and security concerns in Africa.
The main purpose of the meeting was to shed light on the Sustainable Development Goals and how Algeria is working to accomplish the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations Organization. The Foreign Minister of Algeria briefed the Deputy Secretary-General about the efforts made by the government of Algeria to comply with the SDGs.
Along with it, the attendees of the meeting discussed the security situation in Africa and the ways and means to overcome security threats in the African regions of Sahel and Sahara. The meeting concluded on good terms where the Deputy Secretary-General applauded the efforts of Algeria for accomplishing SDGs and its work for improving the security of the African region.
