Algeria hosts meeting of Libya’s Neighboring Countries

Algiers, 31 August 2021 (TDI): Algerian Foreign Ministry of Affairs released a statement about the meeting of Libya’s neighboring countries in Algeria. Before the meeting Foreign Minister of Algeria, Ramtane Lamamra met with the secretary-general of the League of Arab states, Mr. Ahmad Aboul Gheit. Both stressed and focused on the cooperative efforts for the development and stability of Libya.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the developments of the situations in Libya and the possibility of reaching a peaceful settlement of the crisis in this brotherly country. The meeting was attended by all member states, regional and international organizations. The end of the first day of the meeting concluded with the discussions to pay much focus on the mechanism and ways to indulge and enhance the contributions of neighboring countries to Libyan achievements of peace and stability.
