Afghan Representative to UN meets his Tajik Counterpart


Dushanbe, 10 August 2021 (TDI): On Monday, Ghulam M. Isaczai, Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations, had a meeting with Jonibek Hikmat, Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations.

Hikmat expressed gratitude to the Afghan Representative for his visit. He stated that Tajikistan and Afghanistan are not only neighbors but also share common religions and cultures. So, Tajikistan cannot be unconcerned about Afghanistan’s fate.

Isaczai acknowledged Tajikistan’s consistent support for the Islamic Republic and its positive role in achieving a peaceful and lasting solution to the Afghan conflict.
