Afghan Permanent Representative to UN meets Australian Counterpart


Kabul, 11 August 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, Ghulam M. Isaczai, Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations, had a meeting with Mitch Fifield, Australian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Isaczai informed the Australian Ambassador about Afghanistan’s deteriorating security and political situation. He thanked Australia for its ongoing assistance and support in Afghanistan. Both sides emphasized the importance of peace negotiations and a long-term political solution in Afghanistan. They also discussed opportunities to expand Afghanistan-Australia cooperation.
