Afghan FM meets Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan

Kabul, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, held a meeting with Jihad Erginayi, the Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan. The strengthening of bilateral cooperation was negotiated. The current security condition was also the center of discussion during the meeting.

The Foreign Minister expressed his collaboration and support for Afghanistan. It was stated that the violence should be ended by the Taliban as soon as possible. He expressed his views about Turkey’s constructive and extensive role regarding the ceasing of the Taliban’s offensive. He wanted Turkey’s cooperation with Afghanistan in different fields would be beneficial.

The Turkish Ambassador has assured Turkey’s support regarding security conditions as well as in other sectors. It was stressed to work jointly about the Afghan refugees that tried to enter Turkey illegally. Turkey is concerned about its identification and the Afghan refugee problem.
