Kabul, 12 August 2021 (TDI): On Wednesday, Mirwais Nab, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, met with Vittorio Sandalli, the Ambassador of Italy to Afghanistan.
The Deputy Foreign Minister praised Italy for its decades-long partnership with Afghanistan. He discussed the latest political and security situation in Afghanistan, including the Taliban’s escalating attacks and human rights violations. He also urged countries and human rights organizations to pay close attention to putting an end to these attacks and providing humanitarian aid so as to avoid further repercussions of this ongoing violation.
The Italian Ambassador assured that Italy would continue to collaborate with Afghanistan in the near future.
