Dar Es Salaam, 2 September 2022 (TDI): The inaugural African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Conference on Women and Youth in Trade is organized by the AfCFTA Secretariat in partnership with the Government of Tanzania.
The event will be underway In Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) Dar Es Salaam from 12-14 September 2022.

The Conference is held under the overall theme “Women and Youth: The Engine of AfCFTA Trade in Africa”.
Agenda of the Conference
The Conference hosts Heads of state and Government, Ministers responsible for Trade and Ministers responsible for Gender and Youth Affairs, Women and Youth Entrepreneurs, policymakers, and development partners.
The Conference provides a platform for women and youth, policymakers, financiers, and development partners to discuss in-depth perspectives on women and youth in trade.
In addition, it ensures concrete solutions that enhance the ability of women and youth to take advantage of opportunities provided by the organization.
AfCFTA conference provides an opportunity to take stock of progress in implementing policies and programs. This will enhance the capacity of women and youth to trade.
The thematic focus of the Conference engages women and youth in several key sectors. It includes leadership in trade, financial inclusion, creative industries, digital solutions to trade, informal cross-border trade, and industrialization and the creation of linkages.
