Karachi (TDI): Humaira Asghar Ali, a 35-year-old actress and social media personality, was found dead in her Defense apartment nearly three weeks after her death, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Her body was discovered during a court-ordered eviction process at her flat in Ittehad Commercial, DHA Phase VI.
Accompanied by a bailiff, the landlord had arrived with police to execute the eviction after months of unpaid rent.
Humaira had reportedly been living in the third-floor apartment since 2018 but had not paid rent since last year.
According to Gizri police station’s SHO Farooq Sanjrani, the flat’s main entrance was locked from the inside, prompting suspicions.

After breaking open the main door, police found Humaira’s body lying inside one of the rooms, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, and initial estimates suggest that she had been dead for 20 to 25 days.
The Crime Scene Unit was called to collect forensic evidence, and the body was later moved to JPMC for autopsy. Authorities have sealed the apartment as part of the ongoing investigation.
“No immediate signs of foul play or forced entry were observed,” SHO Sanjrani said, adding that natural causes are suspected for now, though confirmation awaits the postmortem report.
Police have not been able to trace any of Humaira’s family members. She was said to be living alone and had minimal contact with neighbors, which likely contributed to the delay in discovering her death.

Officials have urged the public to share any information regarding her family or recent whereabouts that might assist in the inquiry.
Humaira Asghar Ali had a modest following on social media, where she posted lifestyle content and occasionally appeared in showbiz circles.
