Islamabad (TDI): The Embassy of Tunisia in Islamabad showcased the country’s cultural and tourism attractions at the Second Pakistan Tourism Summit, highlighting opportunities to strengthen tourism and cultural ties between Pakistan and Tunisia.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan visited the Tunisian stall during the event.
They were received by Tunisia’s Chargé d’Affaires, Helmi Bougacha, and Honorary Consuls General Mohammad Hameed, representing Lahore, and Ammad Rasheed, representing Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight Tunisia’s cultural heritage and tourism potential while promoting greater awareness of the country among Pakistani visitors and tourism stakeholders.

The Tunisian stall formed part of the summit’s broader efforts to showcase international tourism destinations and encourage engagement among diplomatic missions, government representatives and industry participants.
The participation also reflected the shared interest of Pakistan and Tunisia in strengthening cultural exchange, promoting tourism and expanding people-to-people connections.

Such initiatives provide a platform for countries to introduce their heritage, traditions and travel opportunities to new audiences while encouraging cooperation between tourism authorities and private-sector stakeholders.
