On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the bilateral relations of the UK and the Philippines, a phone call meeting was conducted between Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr., and UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab discussed UK-PH cooperation and prospects for the ASEAN relationship. The Foreign Ministers exchanged views on regional developments in UK’s Indo-Pacific tilt and its future relationship with ASEAN.
The discussion concluded for both nations calling to expand cooperation in areas of law enforcement capacity building, as well as partnership in consular affairs, defense, climate change, trade and investment, and the Covid-19 pandemic.
