Cairo: July 23, 2021- (TDI): July 23rd marks the independence day of Egypt. This day is known as Egypt’s revolution day as well. Today Egypt is celebrating its 69th National Day. It’s a public holiday in Egypt which is celebrated by national parades, and musical and dance performances, and by singing patriotic songs as well.
The revolution day is celebrated in Egypt to commemorate the military coup of July 23, 1952, which led to the end of the monarchy and the establishment of a Republic in Egypt.
To honor this Day the Egyptian president issues a public statement praising the revolution and a celebration is also staged by the Ministry of Defense as well.
The Arab Republic of Egypt is a transcontinental country situated in Northeastern Africa and on the Sinai Peninsula in the Middle East. It covers an area of almost 1 million km per square.
It has a population of approximately 92.4 million people, most people are Arabic speaking with a predominantly Muslim population with about 87% of Egyptians are Sunni Muslims.
