Munich, 10 February 2022 (TDI): The 58th Munich Security Conference is going to take place at its traditional venue in Munich, the Hotel Bayerischer Hof, from 18 February to 20 February 2022.

The 58th Munich Security Conference will be similar to its traditional pattern with few changes due to COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of the participants. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will be the opening speaker of the Security Conference.

The Conference will welcome fewer guests including small delegations and media representatives traveling to Munich as compared to the previously held Security Conference.

However, the focus is on high-level participation of all stakeholders, therefore maximum interaction among them will remain this time. Chairman Munich Security Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger said,

‘‘Our world is in danger. Traditional certainties are crumbling, threats and vulnerabilities are multiplying, and the rules-based order is increasingly under attack. The need for dialogue has never been greater.’’
