Malawi: July 6, 2021(TDI): Independence Day, or the national day of the Republic of Malawi is celebrated every year on 6th July. The day is observed to celebrate Malawi’s independence from the British Empire in 1964. Today is the 57th Independence Day of the Republic of Malawi.
This year, Independence Day was celebrated by a National Service of Worship being commemorated under the theme “Building an Inclusive, Wealthy and Self-reliant Nation through Mindset Change and Servant Leadership.”
The National Service of Worship being commemorated at the Bingu International Convention Center. The President of Malawi Mr.Lazrus Chakwera and Vice President Mr.Saulos Chilima attended the ceremony.
The Republic of Malawi is located in Southeast Africa and is landlocked. The capital of Malawi is Lilongwe.
