Islamabad 27 August 2024 (TDI): A devastating incident occurred in the Humaak area of Islamabad on [date] as heavy rainfall caused the roof of a factory to collapse, resulting in the deaths of 5 laborers.
The tragic incident happened when the factory’s roof gave way due to the continuous downpour, trapping 7 laborers under the debris. Rescue efforts were launched immediately, involving police and rescue agencies. Unfortunately, 5 laborers succumbed to their injuries, while 2 were rescued alive.
According to police sources, the deceased laborers hailed from Tounsa Sharif (4) and Malir, Karachi (1). The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
The continuous rainfall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas has caused disruptions and hazards, highlighting the need for precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
