Algiers, 31 October 2022 (TDI): The 31st regular session of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ meeting started in Abdelatif Rahal Hall in Algeria. This was a two-day summit, held consecutively on Saturday and Sunday.

This meeting aimed to draft an agenda and approve draft resolutions for the upcoming Arab League Council at the summit level, which will be held on November 1 and 2, 2022.

The opening speech was delivered by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who described the issue of Palestine as tragic while stating that situation in occupies territories is worse than ever.

He further argued that the situation demands for the Arab people to work together and strengthen Palestinian steadfastness.

His speech was followed by the speech of the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Othman Jerandi. He stated that Arab states should work together to face obstacles and find political settlements for issues like Palestine.

He appreciated the Arab Summit and said that it is a golden opportunity for cooperation between Arab states. He further addressed that peace in Arab states is possible only through peace in Palestine.

The Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra advocated that Algeria was looking forward to the support of the entire Arab nation.

Ramtane Lamamra further enunciated that issues like that of Palestine must not be forgotten amid all the developments happening in the region and around the world.

He further stated that Arab nations should come to the frontline to advance prospects of peace and reconciliation regarding issues like Libya, Syria, Somalia, and Yemen.

It is pertinent to note that the whole Arab nation has high hopes for the success of the meeting. Along these lines, it has received widespread praise as a move made to strengthen the cooperation and relations of the Arab states; while guaranteeing stability in the region.
