30th anniversary of Moldova independence

Chisinau, 27 August 2021- (TDI): Moldova celebrates its independence day on August 27. It’s a public holiday in Moldova and celebrated as a national day as well. In the Romanian language, it is known as Ziua Independentei. On August 27, 1991, Moldova became an independent and sovereign nation. Today, Moldova celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The Republic of Moldova is situated between Romania and Ukraine. The history of Moldova recounts that it has been occupied many times by the surrounding nations. The Moldovan national day is celebrated by holding public concerts, fairs, and outdoor activities. The  Moldovan President also addresses the people of his nation with his festive speech.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania congratulated Moldova on the 30th anniversary of its independence. Lithuania remains a firm supporter of Moldovan independence, territorial integrity, and European choice. They believe in the success of ties between both countries.

 

The ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also congratulated the friendly people of Moldova on their national day. MFA Ukraine said that they are looking forward to fruitful cooperation for the benefit of nations and the common European future.
