Islamabad, 22 May 2023 (TDI): The 2nd FTS (Friendship Through Sports) Diplomatic Cup took place at the picturesque Pine Golf Club in Islamabad on May 21st. With the participation of 50 diplomats, including the esteemed Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and the Dean of Corps of Service Attaches, representing 28 different countries, the event aimed to foster friendship through the power of sports.
In an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship, AHN Ho Young from South Korea emerged victorious in the Diplomatic Golf competition, achieving an impressive Gross Score of 71. Meanwhile, Young Sheng from China secured the title in the Men’s Net Category, showcasing remarkable prowess with a score of 56.
In the Ladies category, Zhao Xo Lan from China claimed victory with a gross score of 89. Miss Li Zaho, also from China, excelled in the Net Category, securing the title with a score of 80.
The thrilling FTS Diplomatic Team Match saw South Korea triumph, earning the trophy with a remarkable gross score of 152. The Philippines Team emerged as the Runner-up, showcasing their skills with a score of 159, among fierce competition from nine other teams.

FTS, an organization dedicated to promoting friendship through sports among diplomats and the foreign community in Pakistan, organized this event. With the objective of fostering a friendly atmosphere and providing entertainment to the diplomat community, FTS aims to spread messages of peace, brotherhood, and unity while showcasing the positive aspects of Pakistan.
To achieve these goals, FTS hosts sports events every six to seven weeks, featuring a variety of activities such as golf, bowling, basketball, tennis, badminton, futsal, cricket, running, cycling, and sports seminars.
By engaging in physical activities and creating a platform for interaction, FTS strives to build strong relationships and enhance understanding among diplomats and the foreign community in Pakistan.
