ASTOR (TDI): A wedding bus traveling from Astor, Gilgit-Baltistan, to Rawalpindi plunged into a river, leaving 21 people missing.
Faizullah, the spokesperson for the Gilgit-Baltistan government, reported that there were approximately 23 passengers on board. So far, rescue teams have recovered one injured person and the body of one victim from the river.
The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and directed authorities to expedite the search and rescue operations. He also ordered an official report on the incident, according to a GB government spokesperson.

The Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner of Diamer, and Rescue 1122 teams are en route to the accident site to assist with the efforts.

Among those on the bus, approximately 20 people remain missing, including three wedding guests from Chakwal, Punjab.
