Nanning, 15 September 2022 (TDI): The 19th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business Investment Summit (CABIS) will commence on Friday in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang.

The three-day expo, from 16th to 19th September 2022, will be held between Malaysia and China this year. Malaysia will serve as the country of honour which also coincides with the 10th Anniversary of the Construction of the “Two Countries Twin Parks” between the two countries.

Furthermore, during the course of three days, a series of commemorative events will take place. Moreover, Malaysia will also have a standalone pavilion to showcase its featured products. Additionally, services of investment and tourism capabilities will also be showcased.

During this year’s CAEXPO, a series of activities highlighting the country of honour will also take place. These include Malaysian National Promotion Conference and China-Malaysia Business to Business (B2B) sessions. Additionally, an event marking the 10th Anniversary of the Development and Construction of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Park.

China-ASEAN Expo

This year’s China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will take place under the theme of “Sharing new opportunities under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)” and “Building version 3.0 of China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (FTA)”.

In addition, the event aims to highlight and promote high-level dialogues in multiple fields for cooperation between the China-ASEAN community and to bring them together for a shared future.

Furthermore, the leaders of the ASEAN states will also deliver their remarks at the opening ceremony of the expo through video messages. Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will attend the opening of the 19th China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit on Friday.

During the event, more than 20 high-end forums and more than 80 economic and trade promotion activities will be organized online and offline to boost investment and trade. Moreover, there are 1,653 participating enterprises in total. The online CAEXPO platform will also attract nearly 2,000 enterprises to exhibit products.

China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit

During the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), a roundtable between the CEO of Chinese Enterprises and the State Leader of Malaysia will be held. During the roundtable, the State Leader of Malaysia will interact with the CEO of Chinese Enterprises to promote communication and interaction.

Furthermore, exchanges on topics such as infrastructure, industrial parks, energy and electronic information will also take place between the two sides to promote cooperation on joint projects and to enhance economic trade.
