Doha, 25 October 2021 (TDI): The 17th session of the Arab Human Rights Committee took place at the headquarters of the Arab League’s General Secretariat. In the opening ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, led the delegation of the State of Qatar. He also emphasized the Arab Charter.
In his statement, Qatar focused on the legislative actions to increase the rights of the Charter. It also provides the measures to ensure the promotion, development, and modernization with social responsibility. The State of Qatar, addressed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, praised the Arab Human Rights Day.
Therefore, the forum has hoped to bring to light issues about the degrees of public freedoms and the standards cherished in the Arab Charter of Human Rights. The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs demonstrated that this responsibility depended on public references, which insisted and combined freedoms and recalled them through 24 articles in its third section on open privileges and obligations.
