# Xi Jinping Is Expected to Visit United States in Autumn, After 11 Years

**​Beijing (TDI):** Chinese President Xi Jinping will make an official state visit to the United States in autumn, after more than a decade, at the invitation of President Donald Trump.

The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed the diplomatic engagement following the high-profile Beijing summit between the two leaders.

The Chinese Embassy in the United States also affirmed the upcoming visit on* X*, emphasizing that the dynamic exchange will enhance deeper bilateral coordination.

This scheduled engagement aimed to keep the positive progress ongoing during recent dialogues and to stabilize strategic relations between the world’s two largest economies.

During a state banquet at the Great Hall of the People, President Trump highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits to build long-term diplomatic reliability.

President Trump emphasized the proposed date as 24 September 2026 for the upcoming visit, extending the invitation to President Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan.

The diplomatic officials stressed that a clear and regular communication channel is important to maintain stability and reduce tensions.

​The upcoming autumn summit will focus on putting into action the agreements reached in recent high-level meetings in Beijing.

The diplomatic sources said working-level delegations will review long-term plans for trade, technology competition, and global AI governance.
