Washington, 10 September 2021 (TDI): The United States expressed its gratitude towards the Spanish-American Airbase, NAVSTA Rota on Thursday, given the safe relocation of Kabul evacuees. At present, the Rota Airbase is operating as a relocation center for assisting vulnerable individuals from Afghanistan, including American citizens and Special Immigration Visa recipients.
The US Navy showed contentment towards the Spanish government for advancing ‘Operation Allies Refuge’ with a careful transit of Kabul evacuees to Rota Airbase. Both the states have frequently shown dedication towards tackling the humanitarian crises in Afghanistan and providing safe transit to anyone needing help to retreat from Kabul.
Following the end of America’s twenty-year war in Afghanistan, countless Afghans and American citizens living in the country have been exposed to one of the worst humanitarian crises. Considering this, the United States requires foreign assistance to improve the living standards of affected individuals and de-escalate the turmoil in Kabul.
