Washington, 1 September 2021 (TDI): US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price, on behalf of the US government, expressed gratitude to partners in the United Arab Emirates for their unwavering assistance in the Afghan evacuation operation.
Last week, the US Mission in the UAE prepared the first charter flight, in collaboration with Etihad Airways, to transport Afghan evacuees to the United States. Through hard effort and compassion, the UAE government was able to play an essential role in making this happen. State Department of the US praised the efforts of the UAE in supporting America in this tough time.
