US donates 4.6 million vaccine doses to Indonesia

Jakarta, 28 September 2021 (TDI): USA has donated another tranche of 4.6 million vaccines doses of COVID-19 to Indonesia.

As per President Biden’s commitment to fighting against the pandemic, USAID allied with the Indonesian Government to provide vaccines.

USAID in partnership with Indonesia is also providing training to vaccinations and is supporting vaccination sites to complete vaccine drive soon.

Earlier this week, Indonesia also received a shipment of about more than 8 million Moderna vaccines at Jakarta airport on 23 September.

Since the onset of the Pandemic, the USA has aided Indonesia immensely. It has so far donated 77million dollars to help support Indonesia’s Covid-19 response and management.
