Washington, 07 September 2021 (TDI): US Secretary Antony Blinken conveyed the gratitude of President Biden to Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti via telephone call on Monday for hosting Afghan refugees in Kosovo.
US Secretary Blinken appreciated Kosovo’s efforts for global security and peace by stating that Kosovans were once also refugees and by accommodating vulnerable Afghan refugees Kosovo has again showed its commitment to world peace and security.
Staunch US ally Kosovo has agreed to host Afghan evacuees, who couldn’t pass the initial screening, till next year.
