Pretoria, 17 September 2021(TDI): Naledi Pandor, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation for South Africa spoke to the panel conducted online by the United Nations Department of International Relations and cooperation. The discussion was conducted to talk about the role and contributions of South Africa at the UN forum. It was held in cooperation with SAIIA (The South African Institute of International Affairs).
Minister Naledi Pandor also spoke on the importance of the United Nations for South Africa. Furthermore, South African contributions until now towards the missions of the UN were also discussed. Moreover, Minister applauded the United Nations for its centrality in South Africa’s foreign engagements reassuring its belief in collective and equitable global governance. Naledi Pandor also highlighted the UN’s role and assistance provided by it in combating apartheid.
