UNDP Pakistan hosted a Dialogue on Fin4Dev

Islamabad, 7 September 2021 (TDI): UNDP Pakistan coordination with Economic Affairs Division, hosted a national stakeholder discussion. The meeting on Insurance and Risk Finance Solution took place in Islamabad on 7th September 2021.

Joint Secretary of Economic Affairs Division Neelofer Hafeez, UNDP Assistant Resident Representative Ammarah Durrani partake in the dialogue. Assistant Resident Representative Chief Environment Amanullah Khan also joined the discussion.

The central purpose of the dialogue was to address Pakistan’s crucial need for risk management in case of disastrous events. The meeting aimed to ask for advice from Government officials on Fin4Dev to achieve the sustainable development goal.

The Diplomatic Development dialogue engaged the government officials and Representatives. Feedback from the Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Climate Change, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Insurance Development Forum, National Disaster Management Authority, and Pakistan Microfinance Network was sought during the dialogue.

Furthermore, Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd & Allianz (Financial Services Company) approached to provide an opinion on Fin4Dev in Pakistan. In the national stakeholder dialogue, methods to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development goal went underway.
