New York City, 8 September 2022 (TDI): United Nations (UN) emphasized that the world must overcome the dependence on oil, coal, and gas if we are to solve the climate catastrophe. Further, eliminating fossil fuels gradually will benefit both the planet and human health.
Para abordar la crisis climática, debemos lidiar con nuestra adicción al petróleo, el carbón y el gas.
La eliminación gradual de los combustibles fósiles mejorará nuestra salud y la del planeta.

World Environment
Temperature, moisture, wind, and other factors may change naturally over the course of several decades. Planet has alternately been warmer and colder for millions of years.
However, human activities, particularly the combustion of fossil fuels that produce greenhouse gas emissions, are to blame for the unprecedented temperature increase we are currently witnessing.
Temperature Increase
Compared to the 19th century, the Earth is presently 1.1°C warmer. The Paris Agreement’s target of keeping global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5°C over pre-industrial levels is not being met.
Furthermore, that is regarded as the most amount that can be done to prevent the worst effects of climate change.

Adaptive Measures
People had been facing climate change consequences such as higher temperatures, rising sea levels, harsher storms, erratic rainfall, and more acidic oceans. Additionally, people those who are poor, are particularly more susceptible to these consequences.
In 2021, the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) was held in Glasgow which brought more than 120 World leaders together. The leaders agreed on several adaptation measures to reduce climate change including the elimination of fossil fuels. Moreover, they agreed on completing the remaining goals of the Paris Agreement.
Public environmental finance also supports vital infrastructure for adaptation, robustness, and the modern market. This is based on renewable energy, including the $100 billion that industrialized countries have promised to give to emerging regions each year.
Moreover, as compared to doing business ,as usual, the transition to a green economy might result in a direct economic gain of $26 trillion by 2030, along with a reduction in climate change.
