Bilateral Relations
The diplomatic relations between Republic of Kazakhstan and UAE have been growing at a dynamic pace since being established in 1993. Through mutual beneficial bilateral cooperation, countries continue to build close and trusting relations.
Both the countries are interested in strengthening and expanding trade and economic relations and investment cooperation.
The Agreement on the Encouragement and Reciprocal Protection of Investments, by which long-term stability for investors is ensured, is the basis of legal and contractual relations in the economic sphere between Kazakhstan and UAE.
The humanitarian and cultural cooperation is the basis for strengthening mutual trust and friendship. This is because cultural events show the differences and commonalities between the two cultures.
History of Kazakhstan’s Constitution day
The Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a national holiday celebrated annually on 30th August. If Constitution day falls on a weekend, the following Monday is considered a holiday.
This national holiday is considered as one of the most important holidays in Kazakhstan and marks the adoption of the second post-soviet constitution.
Kazakhstan adopted the constitutional law on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 1991 following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
A second constitution was created which set out the fundamental law of the country and established the principles of an independent, secular and democratic country in 1995.
This was adopted on 30 August 1995 following approval via a national referendum and more than eight million people took part in the national referendum.
This constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was amended twice, once in 1998 and again in 2007 at which time a new form of state system – presidential parliamentary – was outlined in the document.
